The tightly grained solid spruce top is specifically chosen for this model and is hand carved for a tonal and dynamic response similar to cellos from old Italian Masters. Flamed maple sides and hand carved flamed maple back and neck combine with ebony fingerboard and pegs for an instrument steeped in tradition, but with modern conveniences like a fine tuner tailpiece.
