The VN-1800G is made to reproduce all the salient features of a classic Guarnerius violin of his best period. The top is fashioned from select, straight-grained European spruce, meticulously carved and hand-graduated for the best possible tone. The exquisite, broad-flamed one-piece back of choice maple is set off by the transparent oil varnish.

The fingerboard is solid ebony, and an Aubert bridge is carefully fitted and artistically detailed for optimum tone and response. The fittings are Hill-style boxwood, with antique ivory trimmings.
