Palatino introduces a new violin with professional features and a design based on a famous Giovanni Paolo Maggini replica from 1834.
The Maggini Violin (VN-1500) is Palatino’s first truly professional violin. The violin is made from hand-carved and graduated tone woods for a resonant body that’s extremely lightweight.
Neatly inlaid double rows of purfling on the top and back make this violin stand out from the rest, and the graceful arching rising from the edges provides the dark, somber tone musicians expect in a Maggini model.
This violin delivers maximum tone with its large, highly-flamed body. The violin features Hill-style ebony fittings, a solid spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, and more.
The violin has a stunning hand-rubbed oil varnish finish, which provides excellent tonal projection and a classic antique look.
